Rattle from B-pillar inside the car?
Hi,
I have an annoying rattle from the B-pillar, where the seatbelt comes out. If I press my hand here while driving it will stop, but I can't figure out what exactly causes the rattle. It doesn't matter if there is someone in the seat with the belt connected or not. And it isn't the clasp that rattles on the plastic (I have checked). It does rattle almost all the time, easily heard with no music. Please help me out! |

I just had a similar issue with a rattle/buzz coming from that general area - turned out to be the drivers' side door lock button. Had that fixed at the dealership during routine service. Probably something simple inside the pillar - your dealer can probably fix it.

Having the same issue but only intermittently. The rattle happens at about 50-60 kmph when the car is under-revved.
I did check the plastic covers of the B pillar and they don't seem to be as tight on the metal as on the driver side. This might explain it. No solution as of now. You can also check https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1280221 Last edited by agripel; 12-14-2018 at 02:55 AM.. |
