72k what maintenance recommended
Hello you guys I have a f30 335i I am currently at 72k on my car and want to see what's recommended as far as maintenance
I am planning to keep the car for a couple more years and I want to have it properly maintained I wanted to do a walnut shell blast very soon . Anything else Spark plugs I switched out at 50k coil packs at 60k and just regular oil changes and filters etc. Anyone recommend other maintenance Like trans fluid Diff fluid any other things that's is worth replacing or do a maintenance on

I recently did my diff. Mad simple.
I would recommend for piece of mind and low cost. Im on the fence with transmission even though I really want it done. Im a bit turned off that my dealer almost literally wont take my money to do it. They are very firm on the fact that its unnecessary and can cause more harm than good. Hows your OFHG look? Have you inspected other gaskets for leaks? Another item that you may look into in the future is serpentine belt and pulley/tensioner. |

Is the dealership aware that ZF recommends it to be changed between 50-75k? Buy the parts yourself from FCP euro and have any other shop do it.

Kind of a weird situation to be honest. They said "we will always do what the customer asks." But... seems like they are nervous to do it and have me come back complaining of tranny trouble. In my honest opinion.... Dropping the pan and re-filling spilled fluid is a great idea as long as you are at 80k or less. Maybe 100k max. Just my opinion. Cant speak for why some dealers are so hesitant. |

Both to 150k ?
I was not specifically aware. I wonder how common an ignition coil is to get replaced (scot free). I could definitely see the VCG as its somewhat visual but Id imagine the ignition coil being more lingering and unlikely to be a wham bam, thank you ma'am freebie. I feel like in order to qualify there would be a certain amount of dick around, diagnosis, potential labor costs, etc. I'm planning to replace mine around 100k with my next set of plugs anyway but still good to know. |

BTW, BMW coolant 50/50 mix should greenish blue, when it pales to almost clear color, that's the cue of checking pH/voltage. |
