Front Splitter in snow?
Thinking about buying a front splitter. I live in CO so snow is inevitable and I'm wondering how much that lowers the clearance in the front. Don't want it to get torn off.

The clearance depends on which on you buy.

Knock on wood but I drove all last winter in it in every storm I could to go skiing and it got packed with snow but held strong. We get pretty wet snow in the north east. I'd assume your snow will be much more friendly on the lip. I have the m performance lip

I had the same concern for my car and decided I'd go a winter without it and see if I think it'll be fine.
To me it doesn't seem the snow will be the issue but if they salt in your area, cars develop 'turds' of ice behind their wheels. These can fall off and freeze rock hard. I've damaged my stock bumper on these and immediately made up my mind that a splitter will just be too low/delicate. |
