F30 Depo headlights high beam bulb access

F30 Depo lights arrived, look great. Bulb change access for low beam and turn is through panel in wheel arch as expected. However no high beam bulb access on top as OEM. The H7 high beam access is on the inner side of each unit. To me it looks like there would be no room for a bulb change without unit removal. UK distributor says access via wheelarch, but I'm not so sure. Anyone any experience? Thanks

Only way is to uninstall the lights. The access panel is on the side of the headlights closest to the radiator.

Definitely install new bulbs or HID kit before installing the headlights on the car to make your life easier

That moment idrive trows a high beam failure... went on google but no luck. Yes the cover is indeed on the side of the unit and I have no clue in getting there without removing the headlight... I am sure there must be a way.....!

Has anyone actually replaced the high beam bulbs? I tried today and even with the headlight removed, I couldn't remove the bulb.

I'm pretty sure it's a bumper off job to replace the high beam bulbs with F30 Depos -as is the same for OEM Xenon high beam bulb change (but don't quote me on the latter).
I chose long life halogen beams but will probably scour the latest (and possibly MOT legal??) longer life LED setup if/when they blow.

Not sure if this is a dumb question, but would I not have to worry changing the high beam bulb if I rarely ever use the high beam? So it won't the bulb won't die?
