Chasis Stability Warning In Snow

Hey guys I have a 2015 335xi that is stage 2 bm3 tuned. It also is in rwd at the moment. My car is a pain to drive right now because it constantly sends me a chasis stability error which throws the car into comfort mode. I tried to slide the car a little and the error came up. The chasis stability light goes off right away but it is just persistent in coming up every time the car loses traction. I have tried turning dsc off but that doesn't seem to work either. Anyone know how to get rid of that warning so it doesn't throw my car into comfort mode everytime it loses traction?

... thinking it has to do with the fact that you're using xdelete. Obviously first course of action is to remove xdelete and revert the drivetrain back to stock and see if the issue goes away.

Yea wait a second. Are you talking about the yellow traction control light on the instrument cluster or are you saying the chassis stabilization error message shows up on the idrive and the car goes into limp

Put in in sport + and drift it. That DSC off is BS, puts everything back to comfort except the dsc.

What happens is the car slides a little and then the chime comes on and the car goes into comfort mode. The message just says “chassis stability error” “drive with caution” then the light on the dash goes away and it drives just fine again until the car slides again.

It throws it into comfort mode as soon as the car loses too much traction..

Remove x delete and see if that resolves your issue

Thank you, someone also told me if I got an alignment the issue might go away?

I'd also be starting with the obvious. You have an aftermarket change to drivetrain parameters, which is most likely at conflict with the DSC system.

That seems extremely unlikely. I would say impossible but nothings impossible I suppose.

X delete is where you should start. What size tires do you have? That error comes up when the diameters are too different.

I'm going to say it's 100% x-delete. The car is starting to drift, and expecting the front axles to intervene to keep things in check, but you've turned them off, so you get the error.

I always find it odd when someone drastically changes how the car should work (AWD -> RWD), but would rather chase rabbits on other things like wheel alignments. Fix the obvious, and then move on from there.

I have xdelete on mine and can spin the back wheels as much as I want without any issues or warning messages. Maybe try reloading the flash.

OP is on snow.... are you on snow? That could be making a lot of difference to DSC intervention, as reactions are likely faster.

I've used it on snow half a dozen times over the last couple years of having xdelete yeah. I've driven with both traction fully on or off when having a little fun I've never had a drivetrain warning. That's not to say it isn't causing the issue here I'm just saying it's not a normal issue with xdelete.

+1. Driving in snow with xDrive deleted makes as much sense as putting a screen door on a submarine. I say this while watching the blizzard news on TV with shots of all the idiots without AWD who decided that venturing out today was a good idea.
