Can the Windows crack?
I am leasing an F34, 2017 330xi GT. I live in Buffalo, NY, and needless to say, it gets VERY cold in the winter. I am parking on the street full-time, and I am concerned that the windows can crack when I get into the car on especially cold mornings. The window of the door that is opened automatically rolls down about half an inch and since the windows have no trim or frame, it seems that the windows are vulnerable to cracking.
Has anyone experienced this? |

i live in alberta, & currently we're sitting at a brisk -33 degrees C!!
my car is parked outside maybe 10% of the time & i have had the same concerns as you but never any issues. just be cautious of when you wash your car to avoid it becoming an ice cube too badly!

OK thanks. It seems odd that there's no window frame or trim, and I don't know what it adds to the car other than I'm nervous about the windows in the extreme cold.

I believe you should be fine. I would recommend not washing your car, when it is really cold as the water between the window and body might freeze and make it harder to open. This happen to me when I did the same in my S2000, window and frame got stuck and was hard to open. But the window did not crack at all.
