Is it possible to update early 2013 idrive to newer version?

I have a 4/13 build date and wanted to know if it was possible / relatively easy to update idrive to a version that allows me to use Spotify from idrive itself.

Google NBT retrofit. It's not for the faint of heart and if you are not handy, I wouldn't do it.
