Just ordered the Bavsound setup

As the title states. I ordered the speakers, ghost subs, and amp. I live in eastern Long Island. Does anyone know a good place for me to have this setup installed? I was thinking maybe my dealer.. Also, I've been reading about problems with the tune that is preinstalled. Do I need to request anything special from Bavsound to have the proper tune installed ? i currently have the the Hifi system.
Thank you in advance. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Your dealer isn't likely to be willing to install third party audio components. You may want to post in the regional forum for your area to look for an audio installer, though the Bavsound kits are pretty easy to self-install. The Hifi isn't really tuned to anything, it's a flat output, but many folk do use a DSP to tune everything to better suit an auto environment and the specific speakers that they've bought. That's a task that has a learning curve or requires a Pro to do it (and requires a DSP).

I just looked at Bavsound to see which Amp they were selling (they weren't selling one when I used them a long while ago). That's the Helix PP82DSP sourced from Bimmertech, so you'll have a DSP to play with. There's a long thread with folk discussing their tunes on the Bimmertech version of the PP82. A lot of that info will be based on the stock speakers, not the Bavsounds. You'll end up needing to do slightly different things with it than the folk who retained stock speakers did. Bavsound may already have loaded a tune on the DSP oriented towards their speakers...probably worth asking them.

BavSound is fantastic BTW.. I have installed their products into 4 different cars now (two mine, two other people) and the upgrade over stock is UNREAL.
