Connected Drive Down

Since Sunday I have had problems with my connected drive. As in everything that is part of connected drive does not work. RTTI does not work, the connected drive menu is missing a ton of sub menus, CarPlay gone and etc.

I rang up BMW customer care and they said it's a known problem and has been for a week. Apparently BMW Germany are aware and we are waiting on a fix with no estimated time.

So annoying as I use the RTTI, send to car, and sms speech to text a lot.

Anyone else having same issues?

Strange, this afternoon and this evening I used navigation and the RTTI was working.

Worked fine today - unfortunately the red / yellow traffic was completely accurate.

Real Time traffic and Connected Drive has been down for me since 20 March 2018.

Called BMW few days ago, was told known issue, supposed to be resolved in a day or two (long passed this window by now)

Would BMW offer any compensation (e.g. extending my real time traffic package etc.?

Not sure if there is a network problem anymore as I managed to fix mine.

I have a note 8 and an iPhone X. I am primarily using the note 8. Anyway, I couldn't wait for the system to be "fixed" so I tried using my iPhone X in the car and it worked!

Going back to only the note 8 in the car and nothing worked. So I basically deleted all connections from idrive and on each phone also deleted and forget connections.

Repaired my note 8 and everything was back to normal.

Try this if you haven't already.

Didn't try the phone pairing trick above but I wouldn't have though it was related to the car's own comms etc.

Connected drive also lost

I disconnected my battery as I was upgrading my steering wheel on my X5 on Thursday 29th. I then reconnected my battery later that day and connected drive has yet to reconnect to the net. I cannot access the x5 remotely or use any of the connected drive functions.

I checked my remote access on my X3 to see if it was the car or the network and all appears to be ok with the X3.

This morning I disconnected the battery again in an attempt to reset the modem/module but to no avail. Then checked all the fuses in the boot and under the driver's foot well in case I inadvertently tripped it but they all seam ok.
Any suggestions as to what I do next? My nearest dealer is 400km's away!
Thanks

My Connected Drive resumed "operational" status last week. However I have lost my internet menu option in the Connected Drive Menu which expired in early February. I tried to renew the subscription in January but the "Genius" told me BMW was no longer offering it.

This confirms that BMW have the ability to remotely program your car as I suspected when the Apple version of the Spotify App started to work whilst the vehicle was in motion at the beginning of the year.

Is it down at the moment? I haven't had a connection for a few days now

Nevermind ran "update BMW services" in connected drive menu options and everything is back
