I had one incident when the front left did due to an unusual swell in the road near a manhole cover. |

yes, I think the combination of the quality b6 damper control and progressive stops masks the suspension travel very well.

Dinan springs bought from Dinan Calgary BMW shocks from bilsteincanada. They always have some type of long weekend special. Install was done by my good friend who is my mechanic so price will different than a regular shop.

I'm about to do a DIY install of the Dinan Spring/Bump Stops on my 340i xDrive, does the front drive shafts pop out when taking the struts out?

Do you mind sharing how much for the parts and how many labor hours for the install? Thanks.

So has anyone experienced any problems using this setup with stock bumpstops? From another thread, someone mentioned that the damper would be sitting too close to the bump stops and does not provide enough suspension travel.

I may be having a bottoming out problem on the rear with the acs springs and B6 shocks. I am going to put tie wraps on the rear shock rods to see if I am hitting the stops.

easy enough to check the rear just by putting your hand under the car and pull the stop down to see how much movement there is.

I swapped the oem bumpstops with a pair of M3 ones to be safe, it's about a few cm shorter and allows a bit more suspension travel. The shop told me that they usually just cut the stock bump stops and i could've saved 40 bucks, oh wells....

Thanks R330dx and pentagon. I even have a local suspension tuner near me. Rob Schermerhorn at Delta Vee Motorsports LLC is only 5 mi from me. They do suspensions for BMW, Corvette, Porsche, and Ferrari although I'm not looking for a set of coilovers $$$.

Here is my review after 3 weeks with ~300 miles.
The setup fixed most of the body roll around corners and is quite comfortable on smooth pavement. The stiffness really shows on coarse or brick roads, you can literally feel every crack on the surface. Backroad driving is a lot more fun now and i feel this is well worth the money |
