F32 AWE vs Borla ATAK Catback?
I am ready to buy an exhaust for my F32 435i and am between the AWE with mid pipe and the Borla ATAK. Any opinions are appreciated.

I am curious about this as well... Just for cost comparison, the Boral ATAK catback is roughly $1240 while the AWE with mid-pipe is $1940.

Wish I could say I've heard the Borla ATAK for comparison sake, but the AWE sounds great. Very little drone and aggressive sounding. Exhaust sounds are very subjective to your personal taste, I would suggest hitting up a local meet and hearing them in person.
I personally went with the Corsa Touring and love it, but it's more of an exotic tone whereas the Borla ATAK and AWE have more of a rumble like sound. |

AWE sounds great. I heard it in both sedan and coupe version F3x cars.

Comfort is the worst thing ever in this exhaust. The resonance or drone of the exhaust at low speed, low rpm's vibrates the entire rear of the car.
The WOT in sport is great, but I don't live in WOT Sport. This exhaust should have came with a valved option. |

I haven’t heard anybody say there is drone like that with the AWE. I’m planning on adding a cat less DP too though

I first ordered the ATAK then changed my mind and switched my order to the Borla S-type. I thought the ATAK would annoy me cruising on the highway. I'm very happy with the S-type sound at start up and sounds awesome when you stomp it. Seems like a more appropriate sound for my car and no drone. With that being said I would probably like the ATAK. No experience with the AWE.

I've been running the Borla ATAK on my F30 N55 for almost a year, and I have no regrets. It isn't the loudest thing out there, but I think that the throatiness of the exhaust is something reminiscent of an American V8. When I'm accelerating normally from a stop, I can hear the rumble and slightly deeper tone of the exhaust. If you're looking for something more from the Euro-sport world, I would say go with the AWE Exhaust. It gives a sportier/cleaner note that goes amazingly with the N55. Hope this helped!

Depends on the sound you are going for, ATAK is very aggressive
