Any interest in 335i stock brakes? Sac/BA
Upgrading to the M Performance brakes in the next couple months and wanted to see if there's any interest in buying my existing stock setup. Front/rear calipers, rotors (340mm/330mm), pads and sensors. Car has about 60k miles, rotors will eventually need to be resurfaced/replaced and pads replaced (iDrive says 8000 miles for the fronts and 2400 miles for the rears). Hoping to offload these locally before I need to try to ship them somewhere. I have the larger f/r dust shields from the M Performance kit as well since I don't need to install those. Probably looking at $600 for everything.
Let me know and we can set something up. Located in Sacramento but travel to the Bay Area pretty often.

Not sure what model car or brakes you currently have. If you have less than 330 rear brakes now, it wouldn't be advisable to upgrade the fronts to 340 and leave weaker rear brakes. Presumably it would be out of the range of front/rear brake bias designed by BMW engineers. If you have weaker rear brakes than 330's, I highly recommend also installing the 330 rear brakes that are intended to match the 340 front brakes, especially if the used cost difference is only $100. (Alternatively the rear 345 brakes utilizing Brembo 2-piston calipers would also work with 340 front brakes)
After installation you will have to have your car recoded to let the car know that it has different brakes so the ECU controls them properly. Hope this helps! |
