Making rims black

Hey guys! I want to make my rims black. They already are but they are plasti dipped. I want to know what my options are. I know there's painting, wrapping, plasti dipping. Are there other options?

Powder coating is your best option.

Not much like $400-$700 depending on the rims.

I got quoted $600 for taking the wheels off, taking the tires off, powder coating rims, balancing, and mounting. That's a decent price right?

Yes, but feel free to keep sending out Yelp quote requests.

If you don't LOVE your current wheels, I would consider putting that money towards a lightweight well constructed set you do love.
I would not bother powder coating OEM cast wheels that are barely worth $600, FWIW.

use BMW OEM Pads and dont wash the wheels. they'll be black in no time.

I'd say look for an aftermarket set you do like in black.

😂😂 I agree haha. But the thing is, if I buy new rims, I also have to buy new tires and then I have to also put for balancing and mounting. I feel that would cost more than $600

i cant imagine the oem wheels are anything fancy. It'd be worth it to me. Only M car wheels would be worth powdercoating in my opinion. $600 on stock 17s/18s is a lot to spend on them if you are not in love with them.

Idk, some people don't like their stock rims, but I like mine. They're already black due to plasti dip but I've redipped the wheels 2 times in the 3 years I've had the car.
