Did this today.
Coded all the necessary halogen to LED modifications in FEM_BODY and also enabled fog cornerning lights. Looks cool compared to the old pissy yellow fog lights. Mandatory poor quality dark cellphone pic: |

Mine is at the BMW collision center now and I had them replace the old fog lights with the new LCI lights. Coded it with BimmerCode before I brought it in. I haven't got the see it, but the techs said everything seemed ok when I asked. Anyone else use BimmerCode? Any issues I need to check for?

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I have recently retrofitted OEM Bi-Xenon headlights (Pre-LCi), coded, and everything went perfectly. I am now in the process of buying a pair of BMW OEM LED fog lights (probably taken from a 340i or so).
From reading this thread, I understand that the hardware is plug and play but it requires coding to function properly and clear the error, correct? And does anyone know which options/parameters need to be set in FEM_BODY? I saw a lot of VO codes here but I use BimmerCode mainly, can it be done using that? Thanks a lot |

In the FEM_BODY module: MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_L_PWM_LEVEL_1 100%. (default was 13.4V) MAPPING_ABBIEGEL_L_PWM_LEVEL_1 100%. (default was 13.4V) |

And then don't forget to code both fog lights. MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_L_PWM_LEVEL_1 100%. (default was 13.4V) MAPPING_ABBIEGEL_L_PWM_LEVEL_1 100%. (default was 13.4V) MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_R_PWM_LEVEL_1 100%. (default was 13.4V) MAPPING_ABBIEGEL_R_PWM_LEVEL_1 100%. (default was 13.4V) |

Hi guys,
I've replaced bulb halogens to led one, did coding this way: FEM_BODY 3061 NSW_R_KALTUEBERWACHUNG -> nicht_aktiv : LED Foglights front right 3061 NSW_R_WARMUEBERWACHUNG -> nicht_aktiv : LED Foglights front right 3061 NSW_R_IS_LED -> aktiv : LED Foglights front right 3062 MAPPING_ABBIEGEL_R_PWM_LEVEL_1 -> 100% : LED Foglights front right 3061 NSW_R_UE_SPG_SCHUTZ -> dimmed : LED Foglights front right 3063 MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_R_PWM_LEVEL_1 -> 100% : LED Foglights front right 3061 NSW_L_KALTUEBERWACHUNG -> nicht_aktiv : LED Foglights front left 3061 NSW_L_WARMUEBERWACHUNG -> nicht_aktiv : LED Foglights front left 3061 NSW_L_IS_LED -> aktiv : LED Foglights front left 3061 NSW_L_UE_SPG_SCHUTZ -> dimmed : LED Foglights front left 3063 MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_L_PWM_LEVEL_1 -> 100% : LED Foglights front left 3062 MAPPING_ABBIEGEL_L_PWM_LEVEL_1 -> 100% : LED Foglights front left 3062 MAPPING_abbiegel_L_output -> nsw_l : Foglight when turning 3062 Mapping_abbiegel_R_output -> nsw_r : Foglight when turning 3073 KL_ENABLE_RE -> KL_Ein : Foglight when turning 3066 KL_ENABLE_LI -> KL_Ein : Foglight when turning 3073 C_CLC_ENA -> enable : Foglight when turning 3073 C_BLC_ENA -> enable : Foglight when turning 3063 Mapping Nevelschw L Part of WL soft-on nicht_aktiv : Foglight left as welcome 3063 Mapping Nevelschw R Part of WL soft-on nicht_aktiv : Foglight right as welcome The error about "fog light halogen" is gone, but leds doesnt working.. This is somewhat-off the direct topic, but throwing out there in case helpful for anyone in the future who sees this thread:
I am doing a foglight retrofit on an F32 (no existing fogs) and based on research the foglight power is coming directly out of FEM Body ...On plug connector A173*3B ... See Pin #7 (left) & #8 (right) https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...odule/H1iZZlgo Kajer gives some good detail on how to tap into this port to add foglights on his retrofit thread: https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=915669 I'm guessing that is what's causing the LED factory fogs to be so sensitive to the proper coding (they draw their power directly from the FEM with it being regulated by that ECU) For my setup: I am going to try to just keep them in halogen mode (non-LED), disable cold/warm bulb checks & run those signals as activation wires to a dual wiring harness direct powering each fog via a draw positive main terminal in the hood. It should tell us whether or not the factory LED foglights can handle "direct-draw voltage" without it being regulated by the FEM. If they can, then I would hypothesize that if you did NOT turn on IS_LED (i.e. nicht_aktiv) but disabled cold/warm monitoring you could get away with a similar effect direct-drawing the FEM in "halogen mode". Other issues with this method though are things like soft-on, soft-off which happens with welcome lights & cornering for halogens so you'd have to make sure WL is hard-on mode and might have to give up cornering I have 552 Adaptive LED's with cornering lights so most likely won't run fogs as corner... Will update that other thread when done... Good luck all! Last edited by Velomobile; 01-03-2020 at 12:38 PM.. |

Led Foglight retrofit EBay
Hi new to the forums but not retrofitting my car. I have a 2015 pre Lci F30 and I'm going to put some Led fogs in. The genuine ones seem rather expensive even second hand, I've found a set on EBay for half the price new.
When comparing the genuine and non genuine ones they appear to be identical in markings (apart from the BMW logo and sticker) even to the country of manufacture. Can anyone shed any "light" on this? |

hello gentlemen, i have a problem after retrofits oem led foglight, after assembly the left foglight blinked a lot and the right one worked ok, I coded BimmerCode in normal mode and it was fine for some time. The left side blinked again and finally stopped working. I connected it in place of the right one and it works ok, I also connected the old bulb halogen in it and it works. I coded later in expert mode according to all forum tips and the left side still doesn't work. have any ideas?

A question about the led fogs. Do they light up automatically when you turn to the right or left (cornering lights) ? Greets |

I changed yet 3061 NSW_L_UE_SPG_SCHUTZ from dimmer to nicht_active and the same. Is it possible to even set a little more light? Without flashing? |
