Yes its finally ready but in a different form. You can use the software which we send you via a link and an E-NET/OBD cable that you would use for coding etc so the flash time is faster.

Will put up more details later today.
Be interested to hear more on this mate, until now I have resisted going for another remap but would be tempted if I could do using the laptop and enet cable

Sorry for the delay. We made a quick video showing the process of remote tuning.

Pricing in on our website Evolve and forum members get 10% off RRP.

Hey Imran

The video is very useful and suggests even I can do do this!
Your website though is perhaps lacking some information I'd like to help my decision.

I'd be interested to hear more about the gear box flash.
Is this bespoke to you and is it therefore matched to the maps you are offering?

What data do you have on the benefits of the gear box flash.

I'm in a 335d and would be interested in a remap, gear box flash together.

Also can you configure the sports dials as part of the process?

Are all the modifications reversible by the cable and software?

Thanks in advance

Marcus

I can't seem to see any pricing information on the remote tuning?

Still updating the website on the gearbox flash but it provides smoother and faster upshifts/downshifts and revised shift points. Its still in early days so more features maybe added as time goes on. They are designed to compliment our ECU tuning.

Yes we can configure the sports dials.

Yes the ECU/Gearbox modifications are reversible by the cable and software.

Thanks for this.

So do the quicker shifts happen in all modes - eco, comfort, sport.
Or can they be configured to happen in just sport for example.

What is a price for a 335d for the cable, ecu remap software, gear box flash and re configured sports dials?

At the moment we can do it in all modes and in some modes depending on what software version your car has. The more data we collate the more we will be able to do custom settings in all software versions.

Price would be £764 inc VAT with forum discount for what you have requested.

Some impressive numbers on the 40i's there (and actually the 330d isn't too shabby either!).

That'll be my 330d! And due to the torrential rain yesterday on the way home, I'm still waiting to give it a seeing to!

This evening though...

Imran. I'm sure several people on the Forum would be interested to understand dyno graphs & data in a bit more detail. 'Increases on the day', i.e. the differences between the before and after dyno runs, are important but it would be useful to understand the relevance of the data box in the bottom right corner of the dyno graphs.

BP barometric pressure
AT ambient temperature
RH relative humidity

Presumably these settings all come from a Dyno Dynamics weather station at your premises (or are set accurately using reliable data) and the IT (inlet temp) is a reading from a probe in the airflow in front of the car.

AFAIK the other parameters are all set automatically according to the CF mode selected :

RR or the ramp rate - provides a different level of resistance (retardation of the rollers) depending upon the anticipated rate of acceleration.
TN total inertia - wheel inertia
CK check number - a 'check sum' accuracy calculation
CF dyno mode, i.e. SHOOT 44 is used for AWD, SHOOT 6F is for turbo 6-cyl RWD, and SHOOT 4F is for 4-cyl RWD

Gear - needs to be appropriate for the car, i.e. 5th is regarded as the most accurate gear for the 30d as the drive ratio is close to 1:1.

How accurately do Dyno Dynamics dynos calculate power and torque at the flywheel when using different CF modes, i.e. an AWD car (SHOOT 44) versus a RWD car (SHOOT 6F) which have the same engine and tune ?

Would be interested in your comments/insights.

You have pretty much covered the details on the shootout box on the bottom right.

The dyno has its own weather station where it picks up AT, BP etc.

The IAT is measured by a probe which we leave in a bottle of water so it does not skew the results. If you put this in the airbox for example the IAT goes up and the dyno wants to correct for this and calculates a higher power figure.

For us the dyno is simply a tool to measure the delta on the same day conditions. We are not concerned with the absolute figures it gives. The only way to truly measure this is to take the engine out and measure on an engine dyno.

The B58 is a great engine and very tuneable. These figures are just software too - no decats/sports cats or even a panel filter.

Just out of curiosity, what is the position now on tuning the B58 engine with a Petrol particulate filter, and if possible what kind of power do these cars make in comparison?

The only GPF car we have done so far had the GPF deleted so can't say at the moment. I would expect them to make a little less power.
