Update:
After enabling the Pressure and Temperature using BImmercode, the TPMS malfunction alerts went away! I have to reset the sensors from the i-drive after coding this feature.

I've a late 2013 with the basic TPMS (no individual pressures)

Thanks

Hi guys, I’ve retrofitted the tpms sensors into my tyres and added 2VB into my VO, coded dsc, fem, kombi ,HU_entrynav and icm. However when I try to reset, the progress bar remains at 49%, and I get a tpms failure warning shortly after.

I get a 4809EB error code in my dsc, tpms no reception, position unknown.

My car is a 2015 320i Lci. With a mk100 esc pump.

I have also tested all 4 sensors with a tpms tester and all sensors are working fine.

Did u need any additional HW or just the sensors?

Also trying to test it out, do I need all 4 sensors for it to work?

HU_NBT > 3001 > RDC > activ

HU_NBT > 3001 REIFENUEBERWACHUNG_RDC_RPA > rdc (02)

KOMBI > ERM_Konfiguration 3004 > ST_TYR_RDC_ALIVE = aktiv
KOMBI > ERM_Konfiguration 3004 > ST_TYR_RDC_TIMEOUT = aktiv
KOMBI > FZG_Ausstattung 3003 > DSC_MIT_RPA = ohne_RPA (02)

BTW, I bought cheap sensors from Aliexpress - https://aliexpress.com/item/32975907426.html and they works!

Guys

I wonder if someone can help me. I have a f31 2013 and followed the guide and purchased brand new tpms sensors 6856227 and also a 2nd hand rdc control unit 6876227 also, which was removed from a F25.

I went through the process of coding 2vb and updated all ecus.
Rechecked ncd file and all coding completed successfully.

Now when I try to perform a reset, I get tpms malfunction.

I clear the codes but then I get the following two codes:

480A46 'Tyre Pressure Monitor: gateway or aerial fault
D35694 'No message (RDC data package 1, 127.0.2), receiver DSC, transmitter FEM

Ive coded DSC, HU NBT, ICM, KOMBI and FEM. I cross checked that all those ecus have updated with new entries as per below:

FEM
RC_RDC_ENABLE = aktiv

ICMQL
IcmKod_B_S2VBA = verbaut

DSC
C_Funktion_RDCi_l = aktiv
C_Funktion_RPA_e = nicht_aktiv
C_RPA_Extra = nicht_aktiv

HU_NBT
RDC = aktiv
RDC_DRUCK_TEMP = aktiv
RDC_FORTSCHRITTSANZEIGE = nicht_aktiv
REIFENUEBERWACHUNG_RDC_RPA = rdc
RPA = nicht_aktiv

KOMBI
ST_TYR_RDC_ALIVE = aktiv
ST_TYR_RDC_TIMEOUT = aktiv
KOMBI DSC_MIT_RPA = ohne_RPA

Oh it flashes from active to failed. For a second all the tyres are green with the readings and then it greys out and says failure. Keeps on looping after I reset all error codes.

Please can someone help!!

Is C_Funktion_RDCi_l = aktiv correct? I'm using a separate rdc and not the mk100

I made a mistake! I didnt code the RDC ECU. There is no CAFD file and when I try to 'Detect CAF for SWE' I get an error.

I haven't tried flashing it as I dont have the instructions and the link provided earlier doesnt work.

Please help!! I feel I'm so close!!

Here is a good and current flashing guide with pictures.

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...7&postcount=13

You should skip point 5 - 10.
At point 30 choose only the RDC ecu.

Right, so I used another version of esys and successfully went through the process and flashed the device.

I went back and still cannot see CAFD. What do I need to do now?

I get an error. Is this because I got psdzdata lite?

If so, does anyone have a link to the full psdzdata?

Btw my istep is F020-13-07-506

But you wrote a post above that you flashed the RDC ecu.
For flashing you need the psdzdata Full.

What is the error message when you press "detect caf for swe"?
For that you don‘t need the psdzdata Full.

I managed to flash it using lite. It said successful at the end of the flash process. Unless it didnt work?

When I try to select "Detect CAF" I get the error: Failed to get CAFs for SWE swfl_000008fa-004_007_004

If I try against any other ecu, it works. Just not rdc.

My rdc unit came from a F25 2015.

I'm using e sys 3.33.4

Usually this shouldn't work with psdzdata Lite.
But never mind.
Are your psdzdata up to date?

I'm downloading the psdzdata full to see if that helps as there are no files under swfl folder.

What is the current psdzdata files? I've got 63.3 lite
