Swapped the I-drive controller, for the ceramic version. I think that it looks so much better.

They came from a breakers yard, in Germany.
I guess, that someone parted from the car all together.

A matter of taste. Never liked carbon-wrap. Looks "cheap" IMO. Cheaper than the basic stock even.
On FrankDK's photo above you can see the huge difference between real CF with clearcoat and wrap (around the gear stick)....

Actually what you see around the gear stick, is open pore carbon from BMW, m-perfomance for the F3x series. The carbon gearstick, and surround, from the f8x series do not fit my car.

I hear you. I wanted to learn a new skill and also cut down on the fingerprints we'll see how long I keep the wrap. It's been one day.

Just to clarify - I am not against wrap in general - on my Audi I have wrapped those interior pieces with brushed metal (textured) wrap. And it looks so much better than the stock flat-grey.
I am just not a fan of CF wrap. To me it looks nothing like what CF is supposed to look like and makes me think of China...
Could be just me.

Honestly I didn't even consider a different pattern or texture. What you did with your Audi sounds really sleek.

Last interior piece wrapped. If it stops raining and the sun comes out, I'll post pics of the interior put back together. I thought this piece would be tedious but it wasn't at all, just needed inside and outside relief cuts to accommodate the corners. 25 minutes from car to complete.

Interior wrap complete and installed! Pretty happy with it. I need to find a solution for the red trim scratches on the large trim piece. I also will install a CF shifter cover or attempt to wrap it.

It's cold and rainy and the car isn't detailed, but you get the idea.

The whiskers are not a great first piece to learn on to be honest.

There is one side of them that is kind of a pain. Prioritize the top and front, the underside is the side that's a tricky part. Use a heat gun and heat it up and stretch it. Though be careful because the contours of the whisker are sharp and can cut/tear the vinyl. Took me 2 - 3 tries to get it perfect:

I appreciate you sharing that info, it's timely as the whiskers are the last pieces I need to wrap and they do look challenging. Yours look great.

I'm debating wrapping the LCI radio trim to finish the CF look over all the gloss black. What are your thoughts?

Hmmm that could be nice. Easy part to do - worst case you don't like it and pull it

Exactly. It could be done in less than an hour.

So I was able to wrap one of the whiskers so far, man that was more work than any of the interior pieces. Thanks for your advice, it definitely helped to start on the top and work down the front, then the bottom. Had to make several relief cuts for the severe angles.
