Shameless plug. I have a F80 Merino Black sliding armrest from another “experiment” on a F80 rebuild if interested.

PabloK post those pics!

BTW, Just this past week, I was debating about using CF Door Trims, but decided to go with M3 Black Merino Leather Door Trims w/ Silver thread as well. As I have extended Leather in car, it was an easier decision than yours

As you have the F80 Black Merino sliding Armrest, I can see it tying together.

Agree 100%

It's already off.

Once I saw it in sunlight it was a firm no.

Here are some pics of the f80 parts... sorry for the poor quality... I feel like Bigfoot crawling around the inside of my car trying to get the right angle.

Side note on armrest, I got the one that extends... game changer. Very comfortable, leather super soft and nice detail...

Couldn't find the thread? If you want to provide the link I'll take a look. Also, how did you retrofit the F10 shifter to the F30 if it doesn't fit?

I don’t have it listed. I have parts of projects/experiments that I didn’t need or changed my thinking that I never list in Classifieds, lol. Rare things come up very seldom so if I think I might use it, I’ll grab it. If I end up not using it, I’ll usually sell it if I see someone mention it in a thread. Message me if interested.

As for F10 shifter, 2 ways to handle.

1)
Take ceramic cover off F10 Shifter and replace it in your F30 shifter.

Difficulty, 1 out of 10.

2)
As I had F10 shifter and examined it, the leather on the F10 Shifter (especially noticeable on the rear of the shifter) had a higher quality grain than the leather on my F30 Sports Shifter. It was noticeable, to the touch when your fingers wrapped around the shifter and you could then spot it after feeling it. The F30 rear leather feels rubbery where the F10 feels like fine Merino.

You wouldn’t really notice it if you did not have both to compare side by side. But it’s the attention to detail that I have posted about.

With that in mind, I have to break down the F10 shifter and transplant the stick into my F30 base/electronics.

Difficulty 10/10 as these were not made to be taken apart and reassembled.

I noticed this item on eBay earlier this morning.

If someone wanted to take their F32 to the next level and tie in the F8x Merino Armrest like you have.

Originally thought it was full extended, but appears no leather on top.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/232694735177

For example, if it were F80, PabloK should have purchased to tie in Armrest and Door Handles.

Ah okay, I guess I'll put it on the back burner then. Or maybe I'll just get oCarbon to do it and call it a day, I'm not sure how much money I want to put into an auto shifter.

Sounds like PabloK will be selling his CF Shift Surround from oCarbon. Buy it from him if you are getting ALL the rest of your stuff from oCarbon.

As you saw, virtually impossible to mix and match

That’s the issue I see on a lot of pics on forums. People not paying atttention to details. Just throwing another piece on without looking at the complete picture.

The rest of his trim from oCarbon, I think the surround he has is just one of those stick on ones from eBay or something. That's what it looks like from the 3M stickers on there.

My trim in the f30 is oem f80

The center piece is some company stars with the letter A (I'll follow up)

The m235 is Matt's oCarbon

So can the climate control knobs be removed? I'd like to wrap them or airbrush them gloss black after seeing the pics of the ceramic knobs.

Just an update on ceramic knobs.

They are wider than plastic ones.

One has to trim plastic from control trim. However, once that was done, orange and white light was bleeding through from Display.

So first attempt failure.
