London Bridge
Well we have had another terror attack during an election period, seems to be a trend there..
But i would like to commend the members of the public who tackled this idiot allowing Police the time to get there and naturalise this attacker. Also the Police involved who at the time had no idea if his hoax device was real or not and if any of these arm chair juries that will be on at 10pm think they should of done this or that and think they could of done better then i suggest they sign up and have a go.. Well done to all involved.. Sadly seems like 2 people were also killed.. https://news.sky.com/story/police-de...fired-11873505 |

The knife that one of the members of the public pulled off him was huge. A proper carving knife of a blade.
A dreadful start to Christmas for the affected families. The mentality of wearing a bomb vest, especially a hoax, is staggering. That's a death wish, which he got.

Just caught an update on ITV and noticed a familiar face. One of the guys (Thomas Gray) who challenged and wrestled the terrorist to the ground is the son of a friend.

London is a fantastic multi cultural society, I would rather the focus was on their criminality and not their faith.. |

He was in London at a conference on prisoner rehabilitation (ironic) and threatened to blow up Fishmongers Hall before stabbing people, killing two. He had two knives taped to his hands, a gun in a bag and what turned out to be a fake explosive belt around his waist. London is indeed a fantastic multi cultural city and I love it for it. This guy was a criminal, but his warped, ideological understanding of his faith clearly took him down this path. |

But it seems to be the faith - albeit an extreme and perhaps distorted view of it - that drives the criminality with these people.... |

One of the core tenets of Islam is that if you kill one person it is as though you have killed the whole of mankind, if you save one life it is as though you have saved the whole of mankind. He had a distorted view of 'faith' one which in fact removes him from the fold of Islam as far as I'm aware and he paid the ultimate price. No 70 virgins waiting for him in hell. Well done to the police officers for responding appropriately and hats off the gentleman who tackled him. Heart goes out to the affected individuals. |

I think it this will open up a wider debate in public and with Politicians on why are we releasing terrorists half way though the sentence...and the sentence given on appeal was way to short in first place. This guy was deemed so dangerous by the original Judge that he gave a IPP sentence which is effectively a Life sentence and YOU have to prove that you are no longer a risk to the public before any chance of Parole etc..he appealed and won a big reduction and no IPP...??
We seem to be treating these guys like normal prisoners when they are far from it with there twisted views of faith. Its an open secret that we have wide scale radicalisation going on behind bars and people are coming out more radical than before with little being done about. |

I think what will come out in the investigation is, that i am guessing now that he would of had to get permission to attend that conference given he was in Stafford and on Tag. I suspect his Offender Manager will have given permission thinking wow hes trying to change himself by going to this Rehab conf. This would have enabled him to get there and he clearly planned it and not spontaneous given his fake belt etc. |

So Richard Reed the "Shoe Bomber" who was overpowered by passengers and failed was sentenced in the US as the plane landed there. He was given 100yrs, hes not coming out. We have guys that have done similar plots that are getting 5,10 or 15 yrs and coming out more radical....very simple jail them for full life and stop playing roulette with the public.. |
