Experts assemble”HELP”
Hi all,
Hope someone can clear something up for me, front driver spring snapped on my 320i xdrive, I’m ordering new shock absorbers and springs, the springs I am looking at are these https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/eiba...-20-031-01-22/ The car is currently at the garage so can’t check door jam for axle weights but I looked through the pack you get with the car and it states my cars front axle load limit is 960kg and the rear axle load limit is 1130kg When I select these springs it gives a warning stating “this part fits your vehicle in accordance with fitment note(s)” These are “Front axle up to 980kg rear axle up to 1230kg” Am I right in thinking these suitable for my car? |

Yes, they'll be fine (assuming other fitment specs match). The load limits on your car are the maximum permissible loads based on the design of the vehicle while the springs load rating can be used on cars with load ratings up to that. You find that various specs and so on across a range will vary slightly so quite often aftermarket spring companies will offer a single spring that covers up to the max load rating of that particular vehicle model, albeit taking into account major differences like 4 pot vs 6 pot engines etc.
