Tyre Repair

This afternoon I noticed a screw sticking out of the rear drivers side tyre. No TPMS warning & the pressure remains the same. Its about 1 - 1.5 inches from the edge & in the "block" rather than a groove section of the tyre. As i was some 20 miles from home I didn't want to remove it in case the tyre deflated. Drove home very sedately & its still there. Car is a 2019 430i M Sport on Goodyear 19" run flats: tyre is only 3300 miles old.
Can run flats be repaired per ser?

Officially no.

Practically yes. It sounds like from your description as well it's not on the outer sidewall so some places do repair them - I had one repaired years ago.

Best advice though - get rid of them!

Only if you suffer a blowout really.

With a compressor, tyre sealant kit and a self repair kit like (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Slime-20464...dp/B00C5TJ1MM/) you should be able to get home from most punctures.

As has been said some places will repair and in theory it would be fine to run on a repair but other than brakes there isn't a more important component on the car, just replace if it was me. Will PM you details of a place I know that deffo does repairs and may not be a million miles from you.
