Did anyone install BMW Advanced Car Eye in US spec vehicle?

BMW Advanced Car Eye is an original BMW accessory offering front (large) and rear cameras. It's not available in the US but can be ordered from ECS Tuning:

Did anyone install it on F3x (my vehicle is F36 GC) in the US? At a BMW dealer? Independent shop?

I installed the complete Advanced Car Eye on my F31 last month (also ordered from ECS), by following these instructions:

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1220468

Wasn't too difficult. I wouldn't waste money on a dealer install. They'd probably charge you an arm and a leg, especially since they'd likely have to learn the install from scratch.

Beware, the rear camera install is a pain with the hatchback and wagon models: I couldn't find any good instructions on how to run the wiring into the rear hatch, and I hope my own solution won't lead to water ingress at some point.

Get Thinkware or Blackvue for that price. Much more discreet and have all the features in the world. I just installed the Thinkware F770 and its amazing.

Did you hardwire your Thinkware F770 to the battery for parking mode? I'm thinking of getting that one but wasn't sure if it's worth it.

You can upgrade your 750's firmware using the 770's firmware. Go to dashcamtalk forum for instruction
