2020 F32 Which Aftermarket Wheel Offset Do I Go With?
My 2020 440i comes in Square 18"x8.5" with +34 Offset, with 225/45/18 tires.
I'm looking at Aftermarket wheels that also come in 18"x8.5", but the offset only come in either +30, or +40. I'm thinking of upgrading my tires to 245/40/18 as well, up from 225/45/18. Should I go with the +30 offset or the +40 offset? My understanding is the +30 offset will look cooler, since the wheels look great, but I'd like to go with the one which will require no extra tuning or equipment like spacers to make the fitment correct, but I know almost nothing about wheels. |

ET+30 will make your wheels come out 4mm (since you choose the same wheel width) which will make it look even better and of course widen your wheel track. Definitely avoid ET+40 because your car will look even worse than it is now, since the wheels will be deeper in the wheelwell by 6mm than they are now and you will have a narrower wheel track than stock, which is not good. In this case, I also don't know if you have problems with the front wheels rubbing on the suspension or any control arms as well. |
