3M automotive tape is what most people use. When you want to remove it you'll need to clean the tape residue but worry about that when/if the time comes.

Yes 3M is what many use. They key is prepping the surface. The cleaner the better adhesion.

FWIW, it depends. I've used 3M outdoor 50lb, 3M automotive and urethane glue.
Of the three, the glue is the only stuff that has held up under rain and sun over the years. Tape is OK in a pinch, but as soon as a cold rain hits, the tape shrinks, water seeps into the space and it begins to deteriorate. My last car, a Subaru BRZ, man I ripped the spoiler off 3x in a year because the tape just wouldn't hold. So when it came time to add the spoiler to my 435i, I had a body shop use the glue. |

3m super strength molding tape is what worked for me and my spoiler. Everything else sucked. Clean all surfaces with rubbing alcohol, apply to spoiler and heat up tape slightly with heat gun, apply to clean trunk and hit with slight heat pressing spoiler into trunk. Will take a couple hours to set but doesn't come loose even in heavy tropical train storm miami rain.

Use this, after a thorough cleaning with rubbing alcohol.
