Anyone got Carbon Fibre mirror caps?

I want to add them when my car comes and I had the dealership quote the price plus installation which was crazy high. I might order them from one of the many parts distributors in the USA because even if I pay duty, it'll be way less that what the dealership charges.

I'm just wondering if anyone here has them, did you do the installation yourself? And where did you order from?

Stock for the Canadian dealership seems to be super low so if one of the american distributors has some in stock, I might buy them now.

I was going to pick up the ones on ebay for about $100.

It's really not worth much more than that to me as it's purely cosmetic. It will match the gray of my wheels and the MSport rear diffuser.

I'm getting AW so I want the contract. Pricey for a purely cosmetic thing but thanks to BMW's boring colour choices, and the fact that white seems popular right now, I want to differentiate my car..and since I was told I cant get the black mirror caps with M Sport Package, this is one way to do that. I would like to buy cheaper ones but I don't want to stick something over the existing paint and instead prefer the replacement style.

I just hope I can get the hang of the install without screwing something up.

The ones on eBay are replacement, not stick-ons. They are basically knock offs of the OEM. Basically they are probably 90% as good for 25% of the price.

Hmm, the older ones are not on eBay.

These might be stick on...

Even though it's stick on, these are under$100

Here are the BMW ones for under 500

Send an email. Or try the ones for under a hundred, not a big gamble.

I know the dealer can have some pretty big sales on accessories. I will maybe wait and pay $250-300 for the BMW ones.

Can u post a pic and did u get the OEM ones? Did you install yourself?

I thought there was an area on the forum with links to all the different parts dealers. I want to buy them from somewhere other than a dealership but I don't know what sites to shop.

Just cosmetic shit, but picked up a pair to match the over priced CF spoiler I bought from BMW at delivery. This time I bought from bimmerian.com -- real CF for~ $125 for pair, installed in 15 min. and they looked perfect. I was at dealer and parked beside someone with OEM mirror covers and mine easily looked just as good (pic above is identical to my car). Made me chuckle... BMW sure knows how to suck us in!!! I can see paying a small premium for OEM, but 8X the price... for eye candy???

Are the glued on with a 3M tape or actual replacements (w/screws)?
