Macan EV

£70k base, I reckon this will sell like hotcakes. Macan already the brand's biggest seller in ICE form. Cheaper and prob more practical than a Taycan CT/ST. Tempting to those who had a Model X on order until they were shafted by the lack of RHD.

Yep. Yummy Mummy's on the school run and ladies who lunch.

I think it's dreadful. They ripped the heart and soul out of it

Heart ? Soul ?

I've driven a Macan S (petrol) and it left me cold.

I actually think I'd enjoy the EV version more.

Can't see me buying one as I don't need or want an SUV type car, but I like it.

Looks good and given the pricing of new cars it looks pretty good value.

Excellent package and proposition.

I think they just killed the Taycan though!

Yes, heart and soul. I've yet to find a more agreeable power source than a petrol engine.
Can you imagine a Ducati EV?

£70k base, £80k with a few toys - probably £40-45k in a few years used. Would be very tempted in a few years when I switch to EV.

SIL has already expressed a desire for one, having decided he didnt fancy the Taycan afterall (lack of space for three kids) and deciding a q8 sportback might be a better option...

Personally, for his use and circumstances I'd stick with the Q8 EV....

Garage List
Not sure about the rear, and shame they've made the boot even less useful by having a bigger slope, but probably one of the better looking EVs (certainly inside), with decent performance and range.

I can see it being a massive success.

When specked adequately, I ended up at £90K for Macan 4 and £105k for Macan Turbo EV.

Those prices are £30k above Genesis Gv60 equivalents. So Porsche will need to be afar superior drive to justify difference

Thanks a lot for sharing this. I'd be seriously tempted by this as my next car, as it looks a lot more practical than the Taycan for the kind of driving I'd need it for here in the Borders. And the range is a lot better!

Like others, I'll be interested to see how it fares on the nearly-new/second-hand market.

I soecced fairly lightly to sort of match what the iPace has and it was £80k..... which is a lot less than the i5 m60 that was on here the other day but still alot of money, and probably over £1k a month on pcp.... going to be a popular company car I suspect but less attractive to private buyers...

(at least until the govt close the BIK loophole)

Just shy of £78K for me, but I meanly left off the HUD and would probably need to spec that...

i just know that if i looked back to 2010 you’d be slagging the Macan for being a SUV. And back another few years you’d be lamenting that the Cayenne was going to kill Porsche.

Yummy mummy’s and ladies who lunch, nice 1980s guy stereotyping.

My former neighbour had a Zero SR/F I believe - he reckoned it was great for his commute when he needed to head into the office, but also fun at the weekend...

Dont think anyone considering a Macan would put a Genesis on the shopping list

Not me, for sure.

Perhaps but I don't think it's a young demographic for the Macan either (if that's what you meant) as cost comes into it after all, I think I'd cross shop the Ioniq N with it's 650hp against the base Macan though, it would be a toss up between range and a badge and power and performance I guess.

But then I'd probably do what I have always done and go for the middle ground and get a BMW with a little bit of everything.

ERm, wrong. I'd consider both, and if I am honest, probably be more inclined to the Genesis....

I see the GV60 as being a similar device to the iPace but with faster charging, and without the last element of Jag know how on driving quality...

And in the wonderful SE, the Macan EV will be as common as the 3 series once was
