Money being available and if I was an unattached fella ... this (as someone else has posted)...
But as I'm not and have family the RS6 avant unless they put a petrol engine in the RS4 avant. But in a few years time I may change my mind |

No idea what I'd choose as one, I'd struggle. I love razzing it down narrow lanes but equally need practicality. I think I'm very much a two car person, but if it was a single car I doubt it would be a sports car, it'd be completely useless for me. I guess a new L322 4.4 TDV8 (newer ones are too wide), or perhaps a late model Isuzu Trooper? The money no object bit doesn't bother me, it still doesn't help when nobody makes what you'd like. And if I was actually having to pay with my own money then I'd still not buy anything new. Nothing SUV like appeals because it's too compromised, and nothing fast estate-wise really appeals because it would be just as useless for the important bits as the current 335d. If we re-worded the question to 'what car would you bring back', it would be the Trooper so I could add it to the Impreza in the garage, but it wasn't, so I can't.

Its a great thought experiment this. I came to the conclusion that it wouldn't be anything exotic. It has to be something my wife likes and would like to drive and be driven in. So boring but true, it would be a Porsche Macan - probably S as I don't think the move to GTS would make any difference.
