How messed up is that? I'm not really angry or mad. I've already accepted this type of thing will happen and it's the cost of living in San Francisco



I'm trying to find what are the parts I need to replaced. I think all I need is the mirror glass. I drive a 2016 340i M Sport. I think the oem part is 51167285010. The original mirror glass had the shadowline gloss black border.

Can anyone confirm if this the oem part and confirm whether the glass is all I need?

If you searched using your VIN, then chances are you've got the right p/n.

From the looks of things, you only need the glass. You're VERY lucky they never cut the wires; otherwise you'd be left with having to replace the whole mirror assembly.

Note for next time, fold your mirrors in (or code them to fold on comfort access close), then it's extremely difficult to gain access to the glass with a panel tool.

My mirrors were folded. Isn't possible to physically unfold it by hand?
