Remus exhaust ??
Hi
I have a 420D GC which I am in love with but I cant deny that I am not pleased with its sound. Ive been searching all over the internet for an exhaust upgrade to improve its sound and if I can get a little bit of extra power thats welcomed =p but all I can find is sound modules which I dont agree with...They are expensive and it is just an artificial sound even though they sound amazing! Anyway I recently watched a video from motech performance featuring a Remus Quad back box upgrade which looks goood but I cant find anywhere a video to hear its sound There must be someone in here with this exhaust installed if not do you have any suggestion on any other exhaust upgrades with a video and pics to justify =D |

You might make it louder but not "better". The 4cyls don't sound great. The 6cyls sound far better. The 5cyls from Volvo sound better still.
If you want a louder exhaust go for it but it'll still sound like a diesel, just a bit louder and maybe a bit deeper sounding. Just go for a remap, get a bit of extra go-go-go and ignore the sound. |

I've been in your exact position with the same car.
Those sound modules do sound great especially the Maserati unit but with the price starting at £1.2 isn't worth it on a 2L diesel especially... Like the above posters are suggesting, I'd remap and leave the exhaust alone. I personally like how grunty it sounds stock but remapping it will make it sound a bit more aggressive/throaty and a fair bit louder for a diesel. 4cyl engines don't sound the best but when remapped they sound a lot better I can assure you. |
