I would like to solve the VO code error after NBT HU id6 retrofit, could someone help me?

As far as I understood correct, WDBI_PLAIN error I have means VO locked.
I don't know what SA_SK - SecurityAccessSendKey error means.
Does this imply wrong VO salapa set?

Vehicle: MY2016 F80 M3,
Car is originally US spec. with NBTevo id4.
Car had been imported to Japan via Germany.

I have been using car without Japanese maps so far but recently NBT HU has crashed accidentally and screen became black.

I bought NBTevo HU with id5 in Japan (so this is Alpine, B216 HW variant: HW4.1) hardware and installed in the car. In E-sys I changed VIN of the HU with using FSC extended function and changed VO options. Then I got the error message and couldn't code when I tried to VO code the HU_NBT2 after cafd injection.

What VO Options were changed? Was Donor NBT2 patched and loaded with VIN matching FSC Codes?

s853 —> s852 Language
s645 —> removed US radio
s655 —> removed Satellite radio
s697 —> s698 DVD area code

and I haven’t done any patch and load FSC code with matching VIN yet.

Should I try this first?

Hi i have the same problem with my hu_nbt2 i have done us to eu region coding. i dont think i have a ecu vo locked i think it just lost VIN but i see it when i check it by ReadDataByIdentifierVIN but on bimmerutility its VIN ??????. but when i codeit back to us the FA and do tal processing cdDeploy than it work back on US

Do Region Change by FDL Coding, not VO Coding.

Yes, restore OEM COndition, and then FDL Code Region Change.

Im having a weird problem with a headunit i retrofited. Ive done many in other cars but this one is just different. It wont vo code even with vo fix. V850 and reflashed the whole thing, Replaced hdd to sdd. Still same results. Any good way to resolve?

I think if you replaced drive, and Cleared v850, and flash fails, its now a door stop.

Try following
Read ecu and save it. Now write cafd manually in svt and try to vo code it
