'14 435i Build

I just picked this beaut up a couple weekends back. Not planning too much to do to it other than FBO mods and a couple exterior tweaks.

Last weekend, I installed a JB4 unit, hardwired my V1, and slapped some black kidney grilles on.

The JB4 install was straight-forward. I just followed along with a video by Kies Motorsports on Youtube. It took me roughly 30-45 minutes to do it. I opted for that Bluetooth connector, and I'm a fan so far. Haven't really done anything else to the performance, so can't be expecting the world, but I'm hoping it'll make the most of my bolt-ons (when installed).

Hardwiring my V1 was pretty easy due to the MirrorTap product that made it possible to use a BlendMount rear view mirror mount and tap the power from the compass in the rearview. Really easy and I highly recommend over having it posted up on the windshield. The picture of the wires is a picture I found of someone on the forum's installation. It took all the guess work/ voltmeter hunting out of it.

Honestly, those kidney grilles were damn hard just because I have some meaty hands and couldn't slide them in those gaps too easily, but regardless, it should have been easier. 100% worth it though.

I ordered an Injen intake from **********s about 2-3 weeks ago. Needless to say, it's worth it 95% of the time to order from the manufacture... I received my Injen intake yesterday, and had it installed in about an 1hr 15. The instructions were subpar to say the least, and I had to make a couple on-the-fly modifications.
** I had to take off a plastic panel in the engine bay (far right corner) that looks to had been protecting some electrical cords. Anybody know if it's important to get that covered back up? I just took it off in the meantime.**

Now, I have VRSF catless DPs, FMIC, and charge pipe delivered in under a week from Mike at xPH (xPH is in that remaining 5% of the time). Great service, offered a combo deal for these parts that really hit all my other wants for now. Can't wait to get these installed.

I'll post an update in a couple weeks after I install those parts.

Also, in the market for some new wheels, but not entirely sold on any one yet. Not trying to go entirely blacked out, but I could do with some black in the rims.

Feel free to shoot suggestions.

Congrats, fun car! Once you got the power done remember to get an M LSD to help get all that power to the ground, plus improve handling in the twisties. Drive it like you stole it

How does one ensure that M lsd is attached to the car? What option is that?

Alas, do not think there was an option on a sheet for it. You need to buy it and have it added (around $2.2k installed). Stock cars have an open diff.
