Uh... wow, that was fast. How long has the B series been out? Pretty impressive they've cracked into it already. There's your answer OP. Go for BM3 once their maps are out for the B series.

Well, if it were just cracked, they still have a bunch of work to do. Cracking was the hard part, but mapping out the DME and testing writing capabilities is just as long usually.

Seriously thinking about JB4. I have a silly question, does the ODBCII port need to be left open in the footwell for the JB4 connector?
I seriously love my 330i, but I can’t help but think 300bhp would make the love even stronger!

Not for BM3. If anything big occurs, it'll be on the FB Page or Instagram. At this point, they still have to map the tables and then tune it, which could take awhile. Maybe 6 months or longer?

I would avoid all maps for the 320i atleast. Motor had a lot of misfires in cyl1-2 and post dealership visit showed low compression in cyl 2. looks like the mini b48 isssues have carried into the F30 as well..

damn that wasn't long, what are the issues, low compression looks serious, piston failure?
what peak boost were you running after tune? what do you think is root cause, detonation, because of higher compressor in these motors, or just weak parts? looking to get my car tuned to obviously want to know more |

Finally got mine mapped with PROJECT A and its awesome! Manage to get 288hp and 435NM. These figures are based on wheel figures.
Its a direct OBD tune and ECU doesn't have to be opened up. Best things is that I get the pops and bangs now. Its just like a AK47 when u drags the gears. WOOOHOOOO!!!! |

Do you have any other mods? You'd usually not get pops and bangs without a decat(?).
Did they intentionally code in pops and bangs?

I'm still considering it but it's a bit pricey..

Personally i'm waiting on either the BM3 or the MP flash before swapping from the JB4 tona flash tune ! Can't wait to see those flash. A local tuner here told me he has a flash ready for the B48 as well.
