Its Finally Here!!!! Long Wait

So I'm absolutely thrilled to announce that I just took delivery of my new 340ix M sport. It's minimally optioned with the 704 wheels, CR leather, heated front seat and heated steering wheel. I didn't go too crazy since it's a lease. Oh and not to mention the 6spd Manual

I have to say I love everything about it so far and cant wait to really drive her around. I've wanted a 335 ever since it dropped in 2007 when my stepdad got one (e90 6spd) and 11 years later I've accomplished my goal! Please see pics below. Unfortunately a crap day out but who cares! Now the modding can begin

It was a HUD and NAV package for $1700. No option to just get the bigger display. I've had my past 3 cars with Nav and I never use the damn thing so I figured why bother.

You can always upgrade for a few hundred if you want later.

I feel you. My 2013 has the nav screen without HUD. I do not use the navigation but the bigger screen is a lot nicer and has more options. And the instrument cluster in the dash has more on it too

Yeah I was looking into that. I wonder if those are buggy or if they're legit.

Yeah I hear that. I do like the bigger screen...as another said I may upgrade it for a few bucks just to have that better display.

Thank you! I've always thought BMW did a nice red, it's not too in your face. It's a more subtle, deeper red than it seems in pictures.

They are legit as long as you get an OEM product or Bimmertech.

I did you full upgrade on mine with OEM stuff with no issues.

Congrats- nice ride!

I've got the same smaller no nav screen on my '15. While it would be nice to have the larger screen, I'd rather spend $ on mods I care more about.

CONGRATS, beautiful car!!

FYI, next lease, go CRAZY on it because you are only paying the depreciation on the options, not the full price!

I don’t understand, wouldn’t more options raise the MSRP, so the residual may be the same, but there’s a bigger difference meaning you pay more? I know options don’t hold value.

Residual is the % off MSRP, so the higher the MSRP, the higher the residual.
Now, adding options allows you for better bargaining position, therefore, even though the MSRP of a loaded car is higher than the stripper, you may end up paying similar monthly lease payment with good negotiation skills since the lease payment is the difference between the NEGOTIATED price and residual (based off MSRP).
This is especially true on the last year car production when you definitely have an upper hand on the negotiation....

That is interesting. I use my NAV every single day going to work and back and to tennis and back and everywhere...
The real time traffic has saved me hours of being stuck somewhere, so I use it all the time...
