It's pretty straight forward:
- root the unit
- install (Ed)Xposed
- install my app
- enable it in the Xposed Manager app, reboot
- done

Optionally use the included settings activity to configure the input.
Instructions for rooting and Xposed can be found in this thread.
Again, there is plenty of room for errors so everything is done on your own risk.

Hm, I have native BMW navigation system but I still have antenna in the back.

I can confirm that disconnecting AUX socket in the hand-rest really improves sound.
Interesting enough: you need to wait some time (2-3 seconds?) before sound improves.

My setup: NBT-Evo + PX6.

Do you have a newer MCU as well? The latest we've got is from 17/10/2019.

You have NBT-Evo (ID6?) and AUX under armrest? My F20 is from 2019, also with NBT-Evo (ID6), but without AUX. It has only USB...

btw: My seller will send a new harness to me. I've to wait few weeks but it is no problem for me. Hope that the harness will fix the problem with navigation voice. Did you cut any cable (e.g. center speaker) when you connecting the new harness?

I have F31 from 2016.
It's NBT-Evo (ID4) with AUX, USB and iPhone 6 dock in the armrest.
Everything is pretty useless for me as Android user with Android head unit.

No need to cut anything in my case. It was "plug-and-play". Only extra step is to connect front speaker.

Did the screen change beforehand though? Or did nothing at all happen until you grounded the camera?

Beforehand the screen would change when in reverse. I drove the car for about a month before putting in the backup camera and when I would go into reverse it would always change to the backup screen and say no signal. If yours isn't switching to the reverse screen I believe you have to go to settings and select aftermarket backup camera

If I've rooted the device and installed magis. Can I seamlessly update to new version without bricking the unit?

Also, for those who updated, are there any functional improvements? I'm mostly interested if they fixed brightness adjusting for the screen. And if apps are still getting killed when we switch to iDrive screen?

Can you please give me more details? To adjust the night mode brightness you have to go to the settings then move the slider. But I'm sure you've already done this.

RaceX58 , On Snapdragon HU`s there is no Eventservice.apk, afaik the corresponding app is CenterService.apk

I extracted the most common apps from the latest Snapdragon 3.3.8. Build, you can download it here.

When you remove all four numbers, the password will be reset to default 1314.
I had 0000 before, after removing the numbers it was back 1314
You can reduce it to only one number, this will work, my password is now 0.

PDC is working at my manual E87.
I think the difference between Idrive_A and B are some kind related to the old CCC one / CCC-CIC multi Button Controller
have the CIC Controller, and have not noticed a difference in changig the setting.
