Gave it to the wife to take to work as her CTS had a flat.

Prayers gladly welcomed.

You find it hard to believe with your mods?
I thought you pretty much saw it coming.
The fact that others haven't broken (yet) is no proof of concept

I imagine something would eventually let go. But to twist a drive shaft 360 like a beer can seems excessive. If it was just the bearing that let go, or a broken joint much more plausible. If I am mistaken then great, I am putting a lot of power down ha. I will be keeping said broken shaft and mounting like a trophy.

On another note I searched around to see if there was anyone that could build an upgraded one without much luck.

I believe so, though I've read that some newer Euro spec cars may have both on? Rear fog lights are mandatory in Europe and in the ones I have seen on, they are only on one side.

Note that NHTSA seems to be against two fog lights and may indeed be illegal:

All that said, there's a reason BMW deletes the option in the US and while it can be coded, you must use a Euro switch in this place (or had the USA switch).

How much power are you putting down at the wheels?

If it's illegal, a bunch of Jaguar, Audi and MBenz cars are illegal. They come to the US from the factory with dual fogs.

Anyone remember the Oldsmobile Aurora? It had dual rear fogs in the bumper. Owners in my area would drive around with them on ALL THE TIME.

So I guess one needs to be prepared for something like this if they are hitting 400 at the wheels? I wonder beyond what number you need to start worrying after having all the bolt-ons like cp, fmic. 340 - 360 should be pretty safe?

Growing up in the UK and living on the East Coast of the US.... drivers here just don't know how or when to use them... illegal or not...

Most of the fog in the Philly area would be considered mist in England.

I like the idea of rear fogs...

Changed spark plugs. Noticeable difference.

Ordered oem intake to replace the housing I drilled holes in. Car is louder with holes, not sure how it has affected performance.

Bought OTS bundle finally, flashed Stage 2 AGG for the colder months.

I tend to use them only in daytime misty rain or snow squalls when visibility is an issue.

I really like the rear fog lights for backing out at night, it illuminates my driveway more and lets cars know I'm backing out of my driveway at night. Great little mod!

I cannot see anything when I am backing out in reverse at night, the rear-view camera barely shows anything. This rear fog-light upgrade will require coding? If so then it could give the dealer an excuse to void the warranty or at-least create some sort of inconvenience?

All I can say for certain is I use it a lot when backing out from parking spaces and from my driveway for added illumination.

Modding the button was a 10 minute job and coding was about a 15 minute job.

As for the warranty part, I can't say.

New steering wheel and trim. Really liking it so far and added bonus: the red strip matches my calipers.

If I see fog my first thought is "What am I leaking?"
