F020-14-03-503 flash
F020-14-03-503 flash
Hello, my friend is really in trouble as his car won't start...he tried to flash the car (I think) and the car won't start.... we figured out, that the esys version for this F020-14-03-503 should be 3.24.3 which we now got AND the PSDZ data 2.52.3 or 2.52.4...maybe even 2.52.5. As he tries to open the PDX file in "PDX charge" everything is empty. Upon searching for *.pdx files on the computer, there are various pdx files with 0 bytes. What can we do? Originaly we had PSDZ full and also containers with 0 bytes. What are we doing wrong? Is it required to download additional files for a succesfull flash? maybe you can point me to a thread where I can read something about it and help him.... thanks Anton |

I don't know what your problems are with the PDX, but it doesn't matter.
You can flash the car with all E-Sys versions from 3.24 upwards. And you can also use newer psdzdata full. But i think it's not necessary to flash. I think we need a screenshot from E-Sys and the SVT tree. Or better you should read out the error memory. |

Here is a pic of the SVT tree....all not visible is red...
https://postimg.cc/gXT7S87Y the FA is not read from the car because its unavailable---this is the FA generated before it crashed... I tried to flash, but an error message appeared: I´ve tried to flash it myself now...Esys is 3.30, psdzdata is 4.27 (both from the link you provided).... I did go through the steps of flashing "Upgrading ECUs on BMW F11 520d"----All steps I did are the same EXCEPT the FA isn´t "read" but loaded...the reading failes "FA could not be read. It is possible that no FA is stored in the VCM. [C060] Job execution failed: negative response error: code: service returned global negative response description: Service RDBI_FA returned a negative response with response code requestOutOfRange; LinkName: VCM_ETHERNET severity: ERROR [433]" when I click START this error appears: "TAL processing started. VCM Update: Automatic VCM update is disabled. VCM is not updated. [C197] Fatal error while executing tal! [] An error has occurred, please check the log files! [WARN] Asynchronous programming failed! [C049] FA must be set if the TAL contains coding transactions. [1358] [] - [Exception - UNKNOWN] FA must be set if the TAL contains coding transactions." maybe it makes more sense now... |

Finally it worked with esys 3.24 and psdzdata from that period....the original FA from the car when it worked was loaded and the car started....in 3.30 whit the new psdzdata and the same FA the mentioned error occured.... I'm a bit baffled that 3.30 and new psdzdata didn't work...the old one did...I'm relieved it finally worked....now my friend told what he did...he wanted to add a tow installment and coding resultet in bricking the car... |
