My Initial Thoughts of My New 430d X Drive Grand Coupe

Hi Folks,

Finally took delivery of my 430d X Drive Grand Coupe last week and thought I would share my initial thoughts. I will put it out there I've had a few cars in the past with the last two being Mercs and the last being a Jaguar XF - Sport Edition.

Well this is a different beast all together and will probably stick my neck out and say probably the best car I have ever had. The first thing I noticed was its handling, it sticks to the road, like nothing I have driven before so planted and gives you so much confidence when driving and heading into corners.

Whilst its not the 435 or 440, its plenty for me and I'm loving the smoothness of the that 6 pot engine, such a delight. I drove down from Scotland last week to the dark side and was more than happy with my fuel consumption of 45MPG, and I was generally on it, if you know what I mean If I had selected Eco Mode, I reckon I would have squeezed some more MPG out of it.

Will carry out some mods in due course, one being which I'm still thinking about is the Front Splitter.

Anyway what a joy and I wish I could highlight something negative but I can't....sorry

Yes, Glasgow Waterfront, but not near the Hilton, nearest hotel is the Crowne Plaza which is out of shot to the left
