Yes. But I can keep a license. If you move to same cylinders it will be for free. If you move to v8 then +$300.

I have a question for y'all! Opened a ticket with ptf but they're closed till Monday.

I have stage 1 91oct on my m4. Flashed backward to the cs tune (oem+) while I wait for my cbc to arrive. The idle in cs tune was noticeably rougher. Not missing, just rougher. Flashed back to stage 1, and smooth idle.

What could be the cause of that? I run 93oct fuel from shell to keep great timing on my 91 tune. Are the oem+ maps made for 93 oct? Suffering a little ill timing based on gas? Can't imagine its plugs/coils because it's very smooth in stage 1 like I said.

Anyone have any ideas?

I've got a '15 435i with stage 1 tune fbo. I was wondering if it is worth it to go to stage 2. It looks like I'd only pick up 20/25 hp/tq. Wonder if I'd really feel it. I will not be adding anymore performance upgrades to the motor.

You’d feel it for sure especially in midrange plus intercooler and downpipe make it breathe properly and shed heat. IMHO everyone tuning should be going Stage 2 just the right thing to do.

Kind of different set up than Most here! I have IC & DP but Stage 1 93 only.

The addition of the Wagner Catted made a big difference. Both I/C and DP
help with the heat. I would highly recommend BOTH regardless of what Stage your are going with - similar to the response above.

But then again I also deleted the Burbles -- which I see as unnecessary and
possibly a contributor to adding heat & oil dilution & even increasing fuel consumption.

Looking at the peak numbers/gains is not to way to evaluate the benefits of different mods/tune/etc. Area under the curve is what matters - it's what makes a car fast and fun to drive. The gains from stage 1 to 2 are significant and should be easy to feel in the car. Plus, you can always go back to stage 1 if you want or need to.

Yep you are correct. I was only thinking of peak output. Didn’t really see how the curve is affected. For 50 bucks I’m gonna go for it. Like you said I can always go back to stage 1.

Perhaps a stupid question, but is it normal that HPFP target is higher on stock map than stage 2?

Can the boost that the antilag is set at be changed on an OTS through the custom ROM, or is that only customizable through a custom tune?

A minor update here. Before selling my car I did flash it with a stock tube, however once I downloaded it, I did some changes: cold start and do not check o2 (or how they call it), those regular settings that fight consequences of having catless downpipe.
In other words, it was a stock tune with settings for catless downpipe, in order do not have cel or loud start))).

Just made a transfer for that license. Means ptf approved it and confirmed previous car is ok with stock tune.

I just flashed to stage 2 on my '15 435i ewg. I am full bolt on to include: VRSF charge pipe, catted downpipe and 5" street intercooler. I also have an injen cai. The only setting changes I made were to turn off catalytic Monitors (cel) and reduce boost by gear. I set 1st gear to 20% and 2nd gear to 10%. The car starts so much quieter now. On my previous stage 1 flash the car would have a pretty loud start up for about a min and then quiet down. I made sure grt start up roar was not enable on stage 1 flash but it was still loud. Stage 2 flash is so quiet. I guess I need to mess with the settings more to get the sound I am looking for.
