BMW Performance rear diffuser & Electric towbar
I would like to fit one of these to my F31 M Sport with the electric towbar option. I am being told that this cannot be done Anyone managed to fit one? What are the problems/issues that will be encountered?
kind regards, Kevin

I understand you need to trim it a little, but you won't get a BMW dealer to do it for you.
I've just bought a diffuser and will change my exhaust too, so will let you know how I get on. I have the tow bar too obviously!

Useful in the future when I buy another track car as would allow me to get something very light and impractical, and trailer it.

Any advantage to "balancing them on the towbar" or is that just personal preference? Or do you have a roof box too? |

The rack at the back is more aerodynamic, so less noisy, and probably more fuel efficient. And because it's low then my wife can help to load it too rather than just me. I expect they are doubly useful if you've got a SUV. I don't have a roofbox but I have bars so it's always an option!

And this is nifty coding, though surely just for show!

That was my thoughts, and since I plan to keep the car for a long time I wanted to ensure it fitted all future motoring needs for me!

Interested in this as was looking at a diffuser, but wondered how it would work with the tow bar.
I use mine just for a bike rack too. Had it from my RRSport as too high to get bikes on, but actually far more versatile than a roof system....especially after a day's dirty mountain biking, no crap over the car as you drive home Anybody know what the coding required is to do that remote deploy - definitely want to do that . Do you sacrifice any function with the boot etc? |

Mine gets used for towing my mk1 rs2000 on a Brian James Clubman trailer. It also lugs a trailer tent around so gets quite a bit of use. Mountain bikes sit on the roof!
Ready to push the button on the diffuser & tail pipe but as said, every place I enquire say it can't be done |

Anyone know what the coding is to operate the electric towbar from the key fob rather than having to press the button in the boot ?
