Question BM3 Stage 2 Aggresive

Ok I am sure this was a thread at one point but I can't find many answers and needed help. I am installing my catless downpipes and a Valvetronic exhaust on Monday and was wanting to move to stage 2 or stage 2 aggressive on Bootmod3. Do I need a full exhaust to use stage 2 agg? very new to this stuff and unsure. Am I able to keep my midpipe and have a muffler while using the stage 2 agg? I simply don't know enough and need help. Thanks!!

open OTS Map Stage 2 (AGG)

every engine has different requirement

Indeed, what Luverse said about checking the hardware requirements for stage 2. I believe a catless/high flow downpipe is required and while not required an upgraded charge pipe is a good idea.

you need downpipe, charge pipe and intercooler.

Intake, midpipe and exhaust are not mandatory

Agree with Luverse. Seeing as you have a 430i with a B46 or B48 engine you won't need an intercooler as you've got a water cooled one. Everyone loves saying get a charge pipe but I wouldn't recommend spending the money unless you have extra to burn. Not a single person on this forum has broken a charge pipe on the N20/26 or B46/B48. It was an N55 specific issue.

Anyway check BM3 requirements and likely just need a downpipe. You'll have to mess around with the exhaust system to get the burbles you want. I've heard that not much comes from just a downpipe so you'll need to search no the forum or internet for videos and see what you like.

I did do the exhaust, downpipe, and I went for a charge pipe just in case, and I went to go tune and the flash failed and my ECU is trashed it seems like as the car isn't starting and there's more extreme errors than what have popped up from tuning in the past.

YES! i did fix it but i had to go to BMW to do it. I just played dumb when they asked if I tried messing with the DME and they covered it in warranty for free. apparently when I had service last they updated the software from my 2018 4 series to the new software that included the block to all DME flashes. i wasn't aware of this and so I bricked the car after trying to install the stage 2. all is well though and I need to go to a local tuner or coder to get the block removed, its difficult but possible and takes a few hours apparently.

Hey Mike I see you work for the extreme power house here in vegas, do you guys offer a service to remove the DME blocker that stops me from flashing the car? I know kies motorsports offers it but I can't send my DME out as its a daily.

Lol I believe Mike is the owner. Not sure they work on cars though.
