When there is an official pull ahead there will be specific terms ie"BMWFS will waive 3 months" meaning the cost of the payments never hits the dealer, BMW financial just writes them off in favor of the new vehicle.
What I'm saying is that is the kind of deal that would put me in a new car early. i would not make payments to lease a car for months that I'm not leasing it. Otherwise you're just throwing the money away.

A lease is pretty simple compared to financing because the cost is fixed. If you signed a contract to pay $20k to drive it 3 years, why would you pay the same price to only drive it 2.5?

Right fully agree on that point, my comments were more on the concept of a dealer waiving payments to pull ahead.... only bmwfs can do that... so even though someone thinks they are getting payments waived in reality what is happening is exactly what you called out above, payments being rolled into the next deal

So I had an awful experience at the dealership. I negotiated the 320 down to $470/month...I still felt like I could've gotten a better deal especially for a car that had 3500 miles on it already. I think I'm gonna renegotiate for a 330 xdrive...what I'd like and built had an MSRP of $50,260. What kind of numbers should I look for including them taking my current 228 with about $2,700 due on it?

you should be looking for invoice minus incentives as your buy price... plus your 2700 in rollover added on top of that... plus lease acquisition fee... doc fees.. tags/title

then it just becomes a math calculation, residual at mileage you desire and require base money factor

not sure how they handle tax in your state, that needs to be factored in

use those elements to calculate your lease price for whatever vehicle you are choosing

It's easy to factor in, still way high.

Sorry but please explain to me what is so appealing about a 320i or a 330i that you're willing to pay almost $3k out of pocket to change cars a few months early?

Aside from that, if we assume $75/month added to your 36mo lease from the $2700/36, $470 is still $395/month for a previous loaner 320i. Are all these numbers with or without tax?

After some work (working with 3 dealerships) I ended up with a 340 xDrive $557/mo, 12k miles, 61k MSRP. Paying all fees/sales tax/first month at the dealer ($3556.68 total) They are also picking up the last 2 payments on my current lease (which is about $1100).

I'm certainly not in any rush to get a new car, but I'm in a 228 and my wife is pregnant and would like me to get a sedan with AWD. The deal I'm now working on with the dealer is the 330i with packages and options for an MSRP of $50,260. They will eat 2 payments and roll the remaining 3 payments into the new lease, and I'm working on getting my monthly payment to $530 (which is what I already pay for my 228). The new 330 is NOT a loaner as the 320 was supposed to be. Is that a worthwhile deal?

Nice work. What kind of discount off MSRP did you get (before incentives)?

Just look at the post from BMW in NE to see what kind of a deal they are offering you.

Userjorts - go here (http://winatriptothefareast.eventsbmw.com/) and register.. you will get a $1000 UDE credit you can use in your negotiations. Your profile says NY, so as long as you are working with a dealer there you should be able to use this.

I recommend waiting until you have a deal that you are comfortable with, then presenting the $1k off I hope this helps you.

Why are the residuals on the 4 series so low? They are worse than Audi!

Hey guys. First time posting here. Thoughts on this deal here?

MSRP: $57,325
Sale price (after rebates): $49,069
Down payment: $0
Taxes and fees out of pocket: $4,000
Residual: 60%
Money factor: .00166
$575 per month
12k miles/36 months

I also want to add that Iím turning in a 328i lease. Theyíre willing to handle the last two payments, wear and tear on the two front tires, scraps on the bottom front bumper, and a dent between the two doors on the passanger side. (Yea, I know itís embarrassing the condition it got into.) 🙈

The MF is marked up. What's included in $4K? Do you pay taxes upfront?

I figured as much with the MF. I should be aiming for .00156, right? The $4K was taxes, doc fee, acquisition, etc.
