f30 335i xdrive

Hello. I looking into getting a f30 335i xdrive. Is there anything I should know and look for when shopping around. I have never owned a BMW but have driven a 3 series and have a general idea about the engines models ect.

The first F30 model year - 2012 - would be prudent to avoid. It's not a BMW problem per se. First year models receive many production changes during the first 12-18 months. F30 was no exception.

I owned 2013 BMW 335i xDrive. Great vehicle - wholeheartedly recommend it.

The most attractive used vehicle would have ...

- No mods
- Ideallly, one owner
- Verifiable maintenance history

Okay thank you for the feed back. What would be the max mileage that I should consider?

Mileage and budget are or course inversely related.

Verifiable maintenance history is more important than the mileage.

While searching for 335, you might also see 340 models with a B58 engine. If the budget permits, B58 engine would be a real treat.

While B58 is still a 6-cylinder engine, it is a brand new engine based on new modular architecture.

Many production changes? Such as?

The only reasons to not buy early F30 are CIC i-Drive, old style DSC, and PWG turbo, all of which could appear in 2013 models. The safe bet would be to search for 2014+.
