A bit tired of BMS intake noise

Hi

Hope i can get some advise. I have the BMS intake now on a b48 but i am getting a bit tired of the chirps/turbo noises... The roar on acceleration is nice sounding, tho.

Is there a better option that might be a bit more discreet?

I thought about going back to stock then remembered I installed the oil catch can too. I don’t hear it often since I have my music loud.

stock air box with high flow dry filter, lower turbo intake pipe
https://www.ftpmotorsport.com.tw/pro...ipe-inlet-pipe
https://www.ftpmotorsport.com.tw/pro...filter-element
there's a free ship code

or maybe this top half, but you're wasting a perfectly fine flowing stock airbox
https://afepower.com/afe-power-51-12...-intake-system

imo, you're nuts to pay $550 for that dinan, however if you have the scripps to burn, happy birthday!

Is there any pros/cons by using a dry filter?
I have always used oiled filters like KN, bms and so on.

i've done the oiled gauze or foam filter thing ages ago on different platforms. imo, all the cleaning/oiling solutions you have to get are gimmicky and money making extras. the whole thing became annoying after awhile.

dry filters, so easy. to clean just kinda tap it to shake the large particles out and use low compressed air to blow the rest out, reverse flow.

don't worry, i know the theory behind oil. if you like k&n, bms, pipercross, unifilter or etc, it's all good. i'm done with oil kits and the like.
