Have you seen this before?
I just did a brake job on my F30 2012 335i. New zimmerman rotors and TRW brakes. I am getting a line like this on both sides. I have no idea what I could have screwed up. Any ideas?

Does that feel like its scored/gouged or still smooth like the coating has not been removed yet? In either case it is odd that you have the same issue on both rotor. Normally, I would think either the pad face is not completely flat or the rotor is not. Odd!

that looks like you havent bed them in or used them enough to remove the coating on the face of the rotor surface.

Only about 20 miles on new pads. Probably just not enough miles yet. No ridge or anything like that.

I have the same thing on my stock setup. Coming up on a year of ownership/5k miles of driving and wasn't sure what caused this since nothing has been touched. I'm thinking about upgrading to slotted rotors to help mitigate buildup on the mating surfaces. I have like 2-3 lines like that on each rotor.
