F30 I-Step / I-Level Update Strategy
I have a '16 340i (8/31/15 build) with I-Level F020-15-11-503 (so Nov. 2015). I've heard good things about updating an older I-Level to a newer one (e.g. better throttle response, smoother i-drive screens, etc.) Every time there is a software-related TSB I'm assuming it gets patched in the latest I-Level.
If you have one shot at getting a free I-Level update from the dealership (via the 3G discontinuation), when would you do it? Basically, when will they stop updating the I-level for the F30? I don't mind DME being locked. |

If you are going the route of the 3G discontinuation to get your update, then I recommend you have the dealer do this as well. I suspect you'll need to pay the labor for them to install the plastic.
