Apex wheel fitment 18x9 +30, 18x9.5+35

Hello all.

I recently ordered apex arc8 for my RWD 340i, and I'm concerned about rubbing. Went with these specs:

18x9 +30, 18x9.5+35

I also have the blue H&R sport springs that I'm gonna throw on the car. Anyone running these specs and can give some insight to tires? Not sure what sizes to run. Thinking 245/40/18 for the front and 275/35/18. Someone please give some insight!! Mostly concerned about rubbing with the springs.

Thank you!

A safe and optimal setup with no risk of rubbing would be 245/40 front, 255/40 rear. This should be pretty perfect fitment in terms of being flush. 275/35 on your rear wheels will poke and you risk rubbing. it would be the equivalent of putting a 25mm spacer on oem staggered rear wheels (both would have similarly bulging tires based on the rim size so its apples to apples).

Gotcha. Thinking 265/35 might be ok.

The overall diameter is too small with that setup. You can technically do it but it won't look right.

What would this mean? I have H&R lowering springs.

I have 18x9.5+28 on the front and 18x9.5+35 on the rear with 255/35 rubber.

Front fits no issue (I have 3.5 degrees camber, but even at 1.6 it was fine)

Rear needed a roll to fit properly with 1 degree camber

However my car was a bit too low, so may have been fine after I raised it

I’m running kw v3, no issues with rubbing on springs

Holy crap you were low. Since I won’t be going that low, do you think I’ll be ok with 265/35 rear??

the overall diameter of the tire is much smaller than the OEM size. this will throw off your speedo and rack up more miles than you actually drive. Also, this doesn't really give you many options for your front tires as you would need to go even smaller for those with a 255/35 which is e46/e90 sizes. If you're slammed it wont be noticeable but it will look undersized with just HR springs in my opinion. 245/40 front 255/40 rear is by far your best option. You might be able to do 255/40 front and 265/40 rear if you like the meaty look. Could be tight but will look aggressive assuming it fits.

I don’t thing you would have issues with those in the rear, just need to roll the guard maybe
