I do have an 11.88 on a garbage run at the strip if that makes you feel better?

dragy for me has been spot on and I can post track slips with corresponding dragy runs that prove it.. so lmao all you want

oh and I'm pretty sure the 1.7 60's are the reason.

Ahh ok. I fugured it was the 60 ft that was the problem. Just fyi, my 60fts were 2.0 and 2.1.

I spun through the enitre 60ft+ on both runs lol. No traction on week old A/S 3+. Sad .. May have to dial in the psi who knows. BUT, thats actually really good to know. Thanks.

Been a youtube subscriber of yours for a while actually. Really dig the vids. I would love to see the time slip for that run you have in the intro for the 640i and CTS V races... And any other pointers you have for a beginner

Edit: Do you always hold the draggy on the steeing wheel so its motionally stable ?

I think the run in the latest into is against either a 2020 10spd camaro ss or a m240 xdrive.. its either the 11.88 run or an 11.9x run. id have to go back and look. since I'm in michigan I'm running out of usable footage so ill start showing the few track run I have soon. spoiler, I get stomped by some low 11 and 10 second hemis and corvettes.

I typically run 115 to 117mph at pretty much 12.0 to 11.7 depending on my launch, temp, amount of ethanol in the tank and where I shift etc if that explains anything and helps you see why I'm beating a bunch of cars I have no business beating. I have footage of a few cars losing that should destroy me but on the street I seem to do pretty well and avoid big tire slick type cars lol

basically being rwd, you need a tire BAD.. sport+ mode with trans in sport and manually shift at 6200ish if you're an auto. get a hpfp and return for e30 or greater. I have a Cary Jordan tune as well but I'm running e60-e70. I make crap boost though up top. if I stay stock turbo I'm going to likely change tuners fyi.

thanks for watching, I really appreciate it. if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them. not sure if I'll be posting the times on YouTube. I have a hard enough time finding people to race as it is, but most people won't race if they think they have a chance to lose but I can send you pics of the slips of the runs if you want etc. ill find the 11.88 run and send it over to you along with the 11.76 dragy run screen shot later on. its 553am now and I've been away for 3hrs and need to go back to sleep

no. thats cause I don't have a mounting plate in the x3.

the 335 has a mount on the dash that keeps it in place.

I really do need to found the extra plate and mount it in the x3 lol. I'm so lazy

Can you find out the conditions (altitude, temp, humidity, DA) of when you ran those slips? Conditions can play a huge factor and slow a car down 2-3mph and a few tenths. 111mph is what I was trapping on the bm3 stg 2 93 tune. You should be running considerably faster than that.

He's making some steam on the custom tune and has great traction lol. Btw dragy is really close to an actual timeslip. From what i've seen it usually is within a .05 margin.

Get a set of better tires on there. If you don't have dedicated racing wheels that you can mount a stickier tire on, I highly recommend getting the Michelin Pilot 4S. I have had good success with them, even considering they're on a 20" wheel with a thin sidewall.

E60-E70 explains it. I suppose if i had cary tune for meth and not just recommend injection points on the exsiting tune it would have turned out better. Im almost certain im going to stay stock turbo and i've also been thinking of trying out another tuner when tuning for the water/meth. Next time i'll have to do a run with wmi off.

Started looking at r888r's the second i got home. Which tires do you run at the strip? i honestly thought with an LSD i would have no problem hooking at the line but it seems tires are more important than i thought. Also, i feel like sport+/Sport trans made the tires spin a little more than i would have wanted.

My 1/8 mile clearly shows me loosing steam up top too... but drastically lol

Agreed.

Ran at ATCo dragway in NJ.

Track Elevation: 88.6ft
Temperature: 55-58
Humidity: 74% (googled)
dont know the DA

Just took a set of MP4S off for the winter lol. It started raining a lot up here and getting very cold. Tires started slipping a little much for comfort in the cold/rain for the way i like to drive lol. Thinking of getting a set of R88R's for my stock 19's. Maybe a 265/35. Can probably get one good run in them before putting them up for the winter too.

This is what I like to use. You can input the date that you were there and look at the calculated DA for different times throughout the day/night.

1/4 Mile Times

9/13/2023
1st trip to the track--Was running in mid to low 13's while mostly stock
with an upgraded BMS Cold Air Intake and a Dinantronics Piggyback
Tuner,
(which only had any effect on the boost and very little to the horsepower).

9/19/2023
I got the B58 a Stage 1 Tune by BootMod3 and Dyno tested at 473 HP
(done by HSTuning in Cleveland OH)

9/20/2023
2nd trip to track after tune and I was running around 12.7 ( kinda a humid night)

During the following week, I made no other changes other than added
some air to the tires and washed and waxed her.

9/27/2023
3rd trip to the track
It was a less humid than the previous nights, but about the same temp
out, (about 65-68 F).
All runs from all nights, Im running all in Sport + (Track mode) and using
paddle shifters manually around 6600.

Best time 1/4 Mile = 12.33 with a +0.47 Reaction Time.
I think I can get into the 11's

You don't have to talk about reaction times as that doesn't have anything to do with anything other than it being how long it took you to go. Btw, shift a little earlier than 6600. Try 6200-6400rpm.

My b58 xdrive car did this 100% stock, for comparison sake.. id love to see a log, you aren't running what you should be.

He's got a tank, so his times and mph will suffer. I bet his raceweight is like 4200-4300lbs, slightly less than an x3 m40i. I'm not sure what those are running with similar mods.
