Ebay Rear Diffuser
I bought a rear diffuser off ebay for my F36. I got it from europartsautostore for $139 shipped. It shipped a lot faster than I am used to from ebay. Only took 5 days. Not too bad. I am really impressed with the quality. It looks very good. It's flat black plastic that looks pretty durable. It includes some little black metal screens for the cut outs in the corners. I hope the fitment is good. Will install it in a few days. Seems pretty easy. Will post pics of install.

**** DO NOT BUY FROM EBAY SELLER europartsautostore***
Well there was no way I could get it to fit. I was close to taking the bumper off to do it but the part is definitely not made to the correct dimensions. I Tried for a couple of hours. Really wanted to get it to work. It just would not line up well with the factory bumper and the clips on the tops side of the diffuser don't hold it in. On the right I am not able to get it to clip in the channel. I am sending it back. Only bad part is I have to pay shipping. Pics wont really show much but I posted them anyway...

That's odd, I do remember when installing mine I had to really press and wiggle the clips into the slots of my rear bumper in order for them to say. I say press on with it if the left side fit. Looks like your close to done in the photos

I ordered my diffuser from that seller as well and I didn't have any issues with fitment.

I think I got a bad mold. The width was too short to clip into the track where the rear bumper and diffuser met. I sent it back but may try ordering from another vendor.

Yeah...honestly I think the OP just gave up too soon, expecting it to be a simple plug 'n play. I've also had nothing but positive experiences with europartsautostore, so I would disregard his warning, not like they're telling him he can't return it. Also, look at the picture, looks like it fits pretty well to me
Aftermarket parts like this cost a fraction of the price for a reason, they're likely going to take some elbow grease, patience, and potentially even a little modification to get to fit perfectly. In fact it even says that in the ebay posting. If you're not looking to do that, pay up for OEM. |

I just bought a diffuser for my F32 off eBay from Bayson R Motorsports yesterday (that 15% off coupon). They are located 50 miles from me in San Jose, CA and the diffuser is at my door today. The diffuser was made in Taiwan by Good Go, a pretty reputable aftermarket body parts supplier.
Upon initial inspection, there are a few "flaws" from the molding, but not something plastic kits (gunpla) building skills can't solve. Another problem is the clip for the "bbq grills". There are 2 clips that would be visible from the outside if installed. Thankfully folding it around the diffuser would secure it and they look clean. The kit also comes with a simple instruction. I will install it this weekend and report back |

Now caveat, if your BMW is any color other than black or the dark grey, you will see the battery tray in the right side. Mine is the Estoril Blue. So I took matte black paint and painted the battery tray under the car. Easy to do when you remove the old valence.... paint, let dry for about a couple of hours, and install. But that's why they give you that black mesh, so it helps hide the battery tray color. And no, it's really NOT a 430i. I just like messing with people like that. |

Mine is a mineral gray so that should look ok. Did you experience any debris getting trapped there? That is my main concern; plus coming from JDM, the BBQ grill is the sh*t! I guess 430i works... it is a 3.0L engine |

Finally got a chance to install it this morning.
Before: During: I did come across a small problem on the passenger side. The driver side fits about 85% in regards to bolting holes, but the passenger side corner is pretty off. Thankfully the diffuser is flexible, nothing a bit of force and bending won't fix. After: For $150 USD + tax, it is not bad at all. It lines up pretty well despite the passenger side bolting hole was off. One thing I want to point out is that the diffuser is pretty flat coming out of the box but our bumper is pretty much a curve, it does require some force to pop the retaining taps into the bumper. It took about 15 mins to install with a impact driver. I took the car for a 25 miles drive and all the taps are still in place. Pretty satisfied overall. |

Well put it this way, I haven't washed or done anything to the car since November. Whatever you see in the photos is whatever is in there. So debris isn't an issue, unless of course, you drive backwards around town?

I just did mine today, again from the same seller on Ebay...
I had the exact same problem but the solution is rather simple... you will bolt on the left side first, forget about the middle and try to push/pull as hard as you can so that the right side match up with the holes and you get the 2 bolts on as well....then you can take your time adjust the middle and make sure all the clips pop into position and is properly secure everywhere... |
