Hey guys, recently flashed Stage 2+ 93oct, Car is a 2015 435i xDrive.
Is it normal to have a boost spike to 21 psi after letting go of the accelerator?

Yes, normal. As the throttle closes air will back up against it creating a boost spike. This does not represent air going into the engine

So a follow-up, I posted some logs and everything looked pretty solid except my WGDC% hung around 80% through the pull, not just on spool up, so it was assumed that I had a boost leak most likely. I ran half-assed boost leak test up to only ~5psi, re-installed CP 2 times, checked o-rings, etc. etc. and still ~80% WGDC!

I was stumped and so I emailed MHD my logs to get their input and help determine if my WGDC% was indeed an issue, and if so my next step was a proper boost leak test up to ~15psi. To my surprise this was their response:
Quote:
Your WGDC is absolutely fine. WGDC on EWG cars works completely different then on older N54 or N55 cars with pneumatic waste gates.
Well this would help explain why I can't find a boost leak...I was even considering replacing the diverter valve because it was one of the only things left I could think of to cause the high WGDC.

Anyone else have insight here? Here's the most recent log I sent them: https://datazap.me/u/badams86/wgdc-s...data=3-4-13-23

Has anyone seen the new update with "full e85 stager 1 and 2 maps"
also the new start up roar feature.

I'm most curious about the full e85 maps, what exactly does that entail?

"Another nice feature for N55, B58 and N13 cars: We found a way to bring the M switchable coolant feature to non-M cars. With the coolant flash option activated, the coolant target will be 95c in eco / comfort instead of 106c+. If you switch to sport mode (or comfort + transmission in S or M), the coolant target will be 85c with performance or 80c with track option selected. This allows the engine to run cooler and oil temperature will also benefit from that significantly. We also changed many fan settings to further improve how quick the system reacts to the different modes, this also helps to reduce the IAT and under hood temps when staging at a drag strip or slow city driving."

What's more powerful though, stage 2 E85, or 2+ on 93?

Today's update brings many nice things to the MHD F+G Series users:
--------------------------------------------
- N55 EWG: added full e85 Stager 1 and 2 maps.
- N55 / B58 / N13 : added coolant flash option (Performance and Track).
- N55 / N13 / M2 N55 : added start up roar (noticeable with cold start deactivated).
- B58: allow burble on OPF cars.
- Full M3/M4 CS and M2C support, including OPF delete option
- Added CS / GTS trans flash for M2 N55, M2C, M3, M4
- various fixes for Burble and exhaust flap open on sport.
--------------------------------------------
The Stage 1 and 2 full e85 maps for N55 EWG will produce a relatively flat torque, with max power near redline. With those maps no need to mix every fill up! And they are the most powerful Stage 1 and 2 maps. No 2+ full e85 map is doable due to fueling limitations.
--------------------------------------------
Another nice feature for N55, B58 and N13 cars: We found a way to bring the M switchable coolant feature to non-M cars. We also changed many fan settings to further improve how quick the system reacts to the different modes, this also helps to reduce the IAT and under hood temps when staging at a drag strip or slow city driving.
--------------------------------------------
The M3, M4, M2 N55 and M2 Competition owners now have the much anticipated CS & GTS TCU flash available through MHD (M2C only CS) - this is a free update included in the Flasher License.
--------------------------------------------
We also added full support for recent euro spec S55 cars equipped with a OPF / GPF (plus delete option)

Just put the "performance" coolant setting through its paces.

I saw a solid 30+ degrees F lower coolant temps and a solid 20 degree F cooler oil temp even after ragging on it for 15 mins.

Seems to match up just about perfectly with what they said would happen !

Money saving??? Dont think so. You'll be driving ~35% less km on a tank of E85.

Do some data logging and post them here. Make sure you have all the channels selected in setting's section of the mhd app before you log.

how is the new update? is the coolant flash worth it (I would probly try performance not track), and does it make your fan kick on alot more often? going to try it when I'm down to a 1/4 tank because I've been meaning to mix and try the e30 map again.

So far it is doing what MHD has promised. Living in Florida my oil temps are down from 225F to 210F which is great but im sure the fan will be on more often compared to stock settings.
