New guy on the block

Hello all, I recently joined and I thought I'd share my ride. It's a 2013 328i xDrive, I have the n26 engine and halogen lights so I have a lot of work to do to get it up to the standards of this community!
Thank you for all the help and inspiration that is hopefully in my future!

Just applied the new trendy spray ceramic coat and I must say I was really skeptical but it did a great job with shine and if anything it's a hell of a lot easier to apply than wax!

If you're expecting complete solar energy rejection, be mindful that it will not prevent the heat from getting in; is does make a noticeable difference while you're driving, but if you let her sit out in the sun for a couple hours, the interior is still going to be quite hot (note: this may change after I tint the front windshield).
But I gotta say, the tint makes her looks sexy

I don't rely solely on the tint, good as the ceramic stuff is. I try to park in the shade whenever I can, and put up a front sunshade (and a rear if the car will sit for a while).

You're right, though, that the stuff makes a difference when driving. Before the tint, I could feel the spring sun, which here is almost as strong as summer sun in civilized climes, on my skin; not so much since the tint.

And your dark blue over cream is a great color combo.

Generic Walmart shade that I've had since my W202 Benz. It unfolds fine. The elastic is long stretched out of shape, so when I fold it up it doesn't make a compact package in the trunk, but it reflects sunlight well enough. Plus the back glass is a little darker than the side windows, but still legal.

The front shade: I ordered a custom cut for the F30 from HeatShield, but it strangely didn't fit any better than their custom cut for the 2011 Regal. I returned the F30 shade and am using the Regal one.

I purchased the F30 rear shade and the two rear window shades. I have been very happy with them. They have nice holders that keep them in place - they stay on all the time. They really keep the car cool in the nuclear Louisiana summers. I have some generic front side and front window shades for use when parked at work.
